Stress Busters…….

In my years of practice as a psychotherapist in Miami, Fl., I try to give my patients natural options to  help deal with worry, stress and anxiety. Here are a few low-cost tools you can try to help reduce stress:

–Bath water scented with vanilla is shown to increase relaxing alpha brain waves
–Dark chocolate is proven to reduce levels of stress hormones. Combining with a high c fruit, like strawberries gives vitamin that is also a stress buster.
–Jasmine is the top floral smell  to help release anxiety.
–Dried cherries are high in melatonin that help you sleep.
–Dates have an almost perfect ration of calcium and magnesium which helps calm a person’s nervous system. Magnesium is called nature’s tranquilizer.
–Avocados lower the body’s production of the stress hormone cortisol.
–Cocoa contains theobromine and phenylethylamine which raise the body’s production of mood elevating hormones.
