Quick Relaxation Breathing Techniques

Many of you have asked for advice on breathing techniques for relaxation. I hope you find this helpful.

  • Sit up straight with your back leaning all the way against the chair and your feet flat on the floor.
  • Rest your arms on your lap, thighs, or arms of the chair. Choose which is most comfortable for you.
  • Take a deep breath through your nose to a count of four (1………2……….3………..4).
  • Hold your breath to a count of four (1………2……..3…………4).
  • Release your breath through your mouth to a count of four (1………2………….3………….4).
  • Repeat this cycle four times.
